Last weekend, The Townhouse in Kingston came alive with creativity as young filmmakers from various schools showcased their films about local charities. Among them were the talented students of Latchmere Primary School, who created a heartwarming short film about Home-Start. This delightful project offered a unique glimpse into how children perceive the work we do with families – and it’s guaranteed to bring a smile to your face!

With plenty of enthusiasm and the guidance of Cine Schools producer Jelena Lützel, they wrote, directed, and filmed it themselves – what an achievement!

Home-Start RKH trustee Margaret joined the event to cheer them on and thank the children and their mentors for creating something so special. “Seeing our work through the eyes of these talented young filmmakers was just magical,” Margaret said. “Their creativity and understanding really warmed my heart.”

And the best part? You can watch the film too! Check it out here:

A huge shoutout to Cine Schools founder George Young for making this project happen and to the amazing students who brought it to life. This film is proof that storytelling can spark awareness and inspire the next generation to make a difference. Bravo, team Latchmere!
